| Jack & Barbara Nicklaus visit The First Tee of Ireland |
Photos from Jack Nicklaus Golf Day courtesy of Arthur Browne Photography
On Wednesday July 18th, Jack & Barbara Nicklaus visited Ireland to lend support to the development of The First Tee in Ireland. The venue was the magnificent Luttrellstown Castle Golf & CC in Dublin.
From start to finish, it was a wonderful occasion. There were participants in attendance from programs at Affiliate Venues around Ireland together with PGA Professionals, teachers and parents. TV & Media crews were also on hand to capture what was indeed a historic occasion.
Jack, in his capacity as a global ambassador for The First Tee provided advice and guidance to the participants, conducted a golf clinic, signed autographs and stood for photographs with what seemed like everybody in attendance. Later in the day, there was an 18-Hole fundraising golf tournament supported by many leading Irish corporations followed by a “Tribute Dinner” to Jack & Barbara later that evening in the clubhouse.
Since the event, the positive feedback we have received from all quarters has been overwhelming. It was truly a momentous occasion and one that will remain with us for many years to come. To capture the flavour of the day, please visit our Photo Gallery which vividly captures the uniqueness of the occasion.
The First Tee of Ireland would like to thank everyone who supported the event and in particular Jack & Barbara for providing a lifetime of memories for those in attendance.
