Through The Life Skills Experience™, participants learnvaluable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude such as:

  •  How to make decisions by thinking about thepossible consequences!
  •  How to define and set goals from the golf courseto everyday life

Theselife skills are taught through a variety of golf-related activities designedwith the primary goal of having fun. Participants focus within each level is tolearn about them and others through a range of experiences enhancing their boththeir golf and life skills.

As Participants progress through the skill levels, participants cultivate interpersonal and self-management skills, experience the dynamics of group and communityinteractions and develop a sense of social responsibility that can positivelyimpact them both on the golf course and in their everyday lives.

INSTRUCTION

Golf instruction in the Life  Skills Experience curriculum is delivered by PGA & Golf Professionals (Coaches) who are trained golf instructors whose aim is to establish & elevate the standards of the profession.

Coaches are provided with annual Coach training, on-line support and Coach Life Skill teaching material to assist in the delivery of activities and games. For quality of programs and consistency of experience, group size do not exceed 12 students per coach. A group of more than 12 requires two or more assistants for greater impact of The First Tee Life Skills Education.

Instruction is not weather dependent and the program can comfortably operate indoors in a gymnasium or sports hall where we use specialized SNAG golf equipment.
